Harry and Wendy live in Hardwick, Vermont, a town which was formerly one of the granite centers of the world. That industry has coalesced in nearby Barre, though we still have a significant number of granite workers living in town. Harry is inspired by the monuments throughout this area which testify to their great skills and the sincerity of their work.
After taking some granite-working classes at a local trade school, Harry set out to make glass which captures much of the essence of our local granite designs. This has leaded him to the creation of a totally unique style. Harry's most recent work is a series, that sort of hybrid of English cameo glass and Vermont granite carving techniques.
