Unique and functional furniture.
After graduating with a degree in English from Davidson College, Steve Holman spent a year building wooden boats and two years working for a furniture maker. He moved to Vermont in 1981, and built post and beam homes before opening his own shop.
"Being generally ignorant of my own stupidity, I did terrible to mediocre work before building my first decent piece of furniture. I think the work's improved since then. I think I do solid, meticulous work. Without function, furniture has no meaning. But I also want to engage in a creative process that applies new forms to old functions. http://www.holmanstudios.com/
