Bella was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden and learned her craft at the North Bennett Street School in boston after moving to the United States in 1997. Bella has been making jewelry for the past ten years, selling her work through galleries in Boston, Stockholm, and Vermont. Her jewelry has also been shown at art shows, including the Craft Producers and Vermont Hand Crafters shows. She has exhibited at Art on Main, in Bristol, and at Manjushri in Burlington.
“In Sweden, we love clean lines in our design, combining form and function in beautiful ways. We also long for light, because of the long, dark winters. I try to bring out those Swedish design traditions throughout all my work. I’m also half Spanish. My father is from Madrid. Ultimately, my jewelry seeks to mirror my two selves: the excitement and energy of Spain, and the elegant design of Sweden.”
