FURNITURE Timothy Clark

Clark, Timothy - Picture.jpg

After graduating from Middlebury College in 1985 with a B.A. in Spanish Language and Studio Art, Tim began making furniture professionally in 1986.

He grew up in a family that was always somewhat involved in woodworking.
"When I was a kid we had to make a Christmas present for one family member. I gravitated toward wood as a medium and used my Dad's shop to make my presents. Today I use a workbench that was my great grandfather's." www.timothyclark.com

Although Timothy's designs sometimes have a modern look, his work is very much influenced by traditional forms of furniture and building techniques. Hand-cut dovetails and hand-planed table tops are two examples of this.
