“I have always been fascinated by color. I have made clothing and been a nature photographer, among other artistic pursuits, all for the sake of color. I began making jewelry in 1997… and rapidly became involved in the world of borosilicate glass lampworked beads because of the color ranges that could be achieved.
“Borosilicate glass reminds me of nature – it cannot be tamed and the color palette allows one to create the beauty of the oceans, skies, deserts, and forests in glass. Nature has been my inspiration since I was a little girl. For me, art is about color and creating a feeling in others and myself through color. Each piece I create is an attempt at balancing color and form to evoke a response based on the color combinations.”
