FINE ART Linda Marcille

Silk Painting

Me painting silk 2.JPG

Linda Marcille's paintings on silk are whimsical vignettes of rural Vermont life. She creates her work using fiber reactive steam set French dyes, water based resists and anti-diffusants on silk fabric. It is a complicated process that takes three days to complete. Limited edition signed giclee prints of Linda’s original paintings are available. The creative process has been a healing force in Linda's life. In Native-American legend the crow represents an omen of change and is a shape-shifter. Crow medicine encourages people to shape shift their old realities into their future self. It was in this spirit that Linda’s studio “Crow House Studio” was born. Linda lives and works with her husband Don, two Japanese Chinn dogs, and two cats in a renovated 1700's eyebrow cape in eastern central Vermont”.
