Marilyn has been doing soft pastels for over 25 years. She prefers soft pastels rather than oil pastels. All of her work is original and one of a kind. Marilyn does all of the work herself including the framing. Marilyn's career started out in fine art photography. She had a darkroom in Maine and longed to work outdoors with color. She sketched a portrait of Rockport Village in pastel and entered it in the local art exhibit. The drawing sold and became her transition to working in soft pastels. She moved to Warren, Vermont in 1989, and now has an art studio on site.
