Silkscreen is a stencil process which uses a wooden frame with high density monofilament mesh. The screen is blocked in areas to create the image. Non toxic, waterbased ink is drawn across the screen with a squeegee. The ink goes through the screen wherever there is an opening onto the paper below. Each color is printed separately by either the reduction or multi-screen method.
A Call to Alms is a seven color silkscreen print and is printed on Lenox, a 100% cotton acid-free paper. Archival quality matting and mounting materials are used in the presentation of this print. There are 40 prints in the edition with 2 Artist Proofs. Each original print is signed and numbered by the artist.
The image measures approximately 7" x 7".
The framed size measures approximately 12.25" x 12.25"
Unframed images come shrink wrapped onto a sturdy backing board.
Framed images come with the image matted.
