MIRANDA THOMAS

WOODSTOCK, VERMONT

Miranda Thomas began making pots when she was sixteen, then went on to study ceramics at West Surrey College of Art and Design in England. She moved to Vermont in 1983 where she set up a pottery studio and designed a line of pots for glassblower Simon Pearce. Miranda established her own workshop in 1988. Miranda and her team shape each pot by hand and make the beautiful surface decoration by freehand.  She is committed to creating high-quality, beautiful objects using traditional techniques to instill her pieces with character, soul and life.
