IRENE LEDERER LACROIX

JERICHO, VERMONT

Irene has been working with clay for more than 30 years at her studio in Jericho, Vermont. After focusing on highly decorated raku fired pottery for many years, her emphasis has shifted toward making more organically shaped forms. This more sculptural work, which includes pottery, tile murals and abstract sculpture are enhanced by the saggar firing process. Placed in a sealed container filled with combustible material and metallic oxides, the kiln is fired very slowly and to 2100 degrees where the pieces are marked by the volatile atmosphere. Her work continues to evolve to include new forms and decorative techniques.

We have a limited selection for our online store. Please call the gallery to inquire about a specific piece seen in-store.
