DIERDRE DONNELLY

WOODSTOCK, VERMONT

A native of Ireland, Deirdre Donnelly has never strayed far in spirit from her Celtic origins. The decorative stone carvings on the great megalithic tombs built in Bronze Age Ireland have greatly inspired Dierdre’s work, particularly the spiral and serpentine motifs, believed to represent the movement of the sun and moon.

Her work of art is made of Fine Silver which is embossed with symbols and then meticulously plated by hand with 24K gold. Seven layers (seven is a sacred number) of clear enamel are then applied to protect the finish so no cleaning or polishing is needed. Ear wires are niobium, a hypoallergenic metal in the titanium family. All earrings are available in dangles or posts. Neck wires are handmade in my studio using steel cable with 24K gold outer layer, this is finished with a protective coating so it never changes.

We have a limited selection for our online store. Please call the gallery to inquire about a specific piece seen in-store.
